One day while in the city of love, after a few long days of site-seeing, I needed a quiet day at home with my aunt. Being the directionally challenged 14-year-old that I was, I elected not to venture out on my own, but instead sought something to occupy my time. While exploring the guest room, really the storage room, lo and behold, there was a ukulele. After a quick internet search for self-taught lessons, I played 'Somewhere Over The Rainbow.' It was fun to see my aunt's fury that I had learned to play the ukulele better than her. Upon returning home, I bought a ukulele and have been teaching myself ever since.
I have been playing ukulele for about three years now, and I would be happy to offer beginner lessons to adventurous young musicians.
